Genesis of SGVV

Founded in 1975 by Gurudei Devi, Sinduartola Gramodaya Vikas Vidyalaya (SGVV) rose as a beacon of unwavering support for an impoverished community living around 'Sinduar', a medicinal plant. These families, burdened by poverty, had children forced into rag-picking or trapped in bonded labor. Education and basic well-being were distant dreams.

SGVV's answer was a community led 'Rastra-patshala', a non-formal learning centre during night, a spark of hope amidst the hardship. This act of compassion grew into a registered organization in 1978 under the Scoiety Registration Act (21-1860).
