Strengthening of Local Governance in Jharkhand

Objectives: To enhance the socio-economic well-being of the communities residing in 20 villages across the Banai and Dahu panchayats in the Raniya block of Khunti district.

This project aims to empower and uplift the communities within 20 villages of Khunti District Jharkhand by strengthening local governance systems, promoting inclusivity, and encouraging active participation in Gram Sabhas. Through targeted training and capacity-building efforts, the project seeks to fortify existing structures, enabling efficient decision-making and improved service delivery. By facilitating access to government programs and schemes, the project will empower 2216 households to exercise their rights and unlock opportunities for personal and collective growth. The promotion of vibrant, participatory Gram Sabhas will instigate lasting positive changes, fostering self-reliance and ensuring the well-being and prosperity of all community members. This project also envisions creating a more informed, connected, and empowered community that actively engages with and benefits from various government welfare programs.
